Meet Our Professional Team

Steph

Founder and Pack Leader

My very first job was as a veterinary assistant at Stoney Creek Veterinary Hospital in 1987. A few years later, I attended Harcum College’s Veterinary Nursing Program and received my Associate in Animal Science degree. I’ve worked at several small-animal hospitals over the years, including a cats-only practice and one where I handled most of the exotic pets, such as birds, rodents, and reptiles. In 1999, I moved to Ocean Pines, Md., and started Steph’s Pet Sitting, which grew for more than 5 years. In 2004, I moved back to Pennsylvania, sold Steph’s Pet Sitting in Maryland, and re-started it here in Media.

In my free time, I enjoy going to concerts and love heavy metal music. I’m also a drummer in a local rock band called Scratches ‘N Dents, and a competitive pinball player. I recently finished 4th in Delaware’s State Championship!

Anna

Pet Care Specialist

In Memoriam

Anna was the first employee I hired. We went to Ridley High School together and reconnected at our 25th reunion. She was the most caring person I’ve ever worked with. She truly loved every animal she cared for. Unfortunately, we lost her in January 2024 to a long battle with kidney disease. It’s been a huge loss to our company and to me personally.

I’ll never forget Anna, and I know she is over the Rainbow Bridge looking for more animals to help.

Kerri

Pet Care Specialist

Kerri has worked for Steph’s Pet Sitting since 2016. She is seen here with her dog, Beau. She’s a graduate of Ridley High School and also attended Temple University. In her free time, she enjoys spending it with family and going to the movies. She manages most of our midday walks during the week as well as pet sitting visits.

Anna Marie

Pet Care Specialist

Anna Marie grew up with cats. Her most recent, Harry, was a rescue from the Radnor Trail. She loves caring for all breeds, ages, and sizes, thoroughly enjoying the “cat therapy”. A former Art Teacher with a degree from Temple University, she studied at the Tyler School of Art and completed graduate work at the University of the Arts and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Her interests are painting and interior decorating, and cultivating an English garden at her 200-year-old house in Media. She is pictured with Sammy, a neighborhood stray that found a happy home.

Amy R.

Pet Care Specialist

Amy is a Jersey girl who has lived in Florida and found her way to Delco in the early 2000s. She has a degree in Geological and Environmental Science from Susquehanna University and a passion for all animals. Amy is a proud mom of her teenage son, her 2 dogs, Ruby and Stevie, and her cat, Miso. Amy also enjoys fostering through The Rescue Express. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, traveling (especially to Walt Disney World), and anything related to Halloween!

Dawn

Pet Care Specialist

Dawn grew up in Delaware County and has lived there most of her adult life. She attended Saint Joseph’s University for her Bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology. During the day, she works in account management for a healthcare technology company. She loves music, dancing, reading, and traveling.

Lindsay

Pet Care Specialist

Lindsay grew up caring for her family’s Lasha-Poo, Nicky, for 18 years. She works full-time in the operating room as a surgical technician for an Ophthalmic Surgery Center and is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She enjoys spending her free time with her family, going to the shore, walking the trails at Ridley Creek State Park, shopping for antiques, and refurbishing antiques to give them a new lease on life!

Kim

Pet Care Specialist

Greetings! I am a nonprofit lawyer by day and a pet sitter by night! I love all animals, big and small, but any day I get to pet a dog is a good day! My two kitties, Odin and Natasha, are named after Marvel characters. In my spare time, I enjoy baking, going to the movies, and binge-watching TV shows. I also love all things Harry Potter related. Thank you for letting me spend time with your pets!

Jenn

Pet Care Specialist

Jenn grew up in Brookhaven and moved to Media in 2015. She has a bachelor’s degree in Classics and History and a law degree, all from Temple University. Jenn is the author of seventeen true crime books. In her free time, she likes to read, travel, do logic puzzles, and spend time with her husband and their rescue dog, Stella. She loves all animals, but has a soft spot for dogs, especially big ones!

Michele

Pet Care Specialist

Michele is a native of Delco with a degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from the PA Institute of Technology. On weekdays, she works with students in the school setting to improve their physical abilities. Michele has a heart for animals and is happy to assist with standard and exotic pet care needs. She also enjoys baking, romance novels, movies, and waterfall hikes!

Rhonda

Pet Care Specialist

I am a Delco-native, born and raised in Lansdowne. I am a licensed social worker and have worked in a school setting with middle and high school students for 7 years. I went to Temple for my undergrad and graduate degrees in Social Work. My hobbies include photography, true-crime movies and TV shows, being in nature, and being at the beach. My last pet was a precious cat named Angel, whom I enjoyed having for 18 years. I have also enjoyed pet sitting for many of my friends for over 10 years. I find animals therapeutic, especially in my career as a Social Worker. As an animal lover, I look forward to helping you care for your pets the way I would care for my own.

Hi, it’s great to meet you! I’m Jennifer, a retired RN and lifelong animal advocate passionate about the welfare of every-sized critter. I sing in a community theater organization and love bringing harmony into the world. My sweet furbaby, Audrey, keeps me on my toes at home with her adorable antics. She loves taking me for a “follow” down the street in her harness!

Pet Care Specialist

Hi, I’m Erin! I’m from Media and recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. I’m hoping to pursue a career in art therapy, where I can combine my passion for creativity and helping others. I enjoy drawing, crocheting, exploring nature, and reading when I’m not busy. I’m also a big homebody and love hanging out with my furry best friends: Andy, my extra fluffy Great Pyrenees, and my three cats, George, Jack, and Jazz.

Pet Care Specialist

Hi, I’m Jess! A Philadelphia native, I moved to Delco in 2014. I serve as the director and coach of a local cheerleading program, investing my time in developing young athletes. Beyond cheerleading, I am passionate about all animals and their well-being. I love them so much!! When I’m not working or coaching, I can be seen running around with my husband and our three teenage kids. In the photo with me is my elderly rescue dog, Gizzy.

Beth Huxta

Pet Care Specialist

Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds. I’ve been pet sitting since middle school and have owned many pets over the years, including a beloved senior dog, Tommy, whom my family adopted at 15.

Outside of pet care, I also run my own small handmade-things business and regularly sell my creations at craft markets. In my free time, I love journaling and hosting community journaling/crafting circles.

I’m reliable, attentive, and passionate about making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for.

Maureen

Pet Care Specialist

Hi, I’m Maureen, and after nearly 30 years in the corporate world, I recently retired and decided to focus on what truly brings me joy: caring for animals! Along with my passion for cooking and baking, animals have always been one of the biggest joys in my life. I currently care for five special-needs animals of my own, so I truly understand the level of care, attention, and trust our pets deserve. I know how difficult it can be to leave them behind, which is why I treat every pet as if they were my own, providing reliable, loving, and attentive care.
